As chairman of the Board of Finance I fought for better financial controls and increased transparency in City government and also exposed municipal abuses and demanded more accountability. Even when under attack by local officials, I continued to represent the voice of all citizens, regardless of political party. With your support and vote I will continue to fight special interests and the corruption that have become “status quo”. |
Having served on the Board of Finance for 24 years, Joe is a staunch advocate of fiscal responsibility. At various times during his tenure, he served as its chair and it vice chair. He holds a B.S. degree; a professional degree for advanced study in Administration and Supervision, and is a Fulbright scholar. Joe headed the World Languages Department at Westhill High School and resides in the Cove neighborhood. |
